Gaiwans
Everybody needs more than one teapot! If you’re looking to expand your collection, are learning new techniques, just want to experiment, or (God forbid) need to replace something damaged, take a look here. If you have something specific in mind, let me know at asktheteaguy@taiwanteaguy.com and I’ll see if I can find what you need.
This smaller gaiwan is perfect for beginners to practice with. The plain white design is elegant, and easily matches any teaware you use it with. Serves 1-4 small teacups.
SW1- US$ 10.00
The same style as the white gaiwan above, this version is adorned with a blue flower design to add a more ‘Chinese’ feel to your tea sessions. Serves 1 - 4 small teacups.
SWF1- US$ 12.00
This higher quality gaiwan from Mainland China is made from semi-translucent bone china, and is especially suited to brewing green teas and ‘light’ oolongs such as Paochong and Taiwan’s High Mt. Oolong. Serves 1 - 4 small teacups.
BCG - US$45.00
This larger semi-gaiwan has a spout for easier pouring, and an inner lip to help trap the loose tea inside. The glazed finish ensures the pot won’t absorb odors, making it ideal for brewing a wide variety of teas. Serves 1 - 6 small teacups.
WSG - US$14.00
A more ornate version of the white one pictured above, This semi-gaiwan has a mountain scene depicted on one side (same as lid), and Chinese calligraphy on the other. Serves 1 - 6 small teacups.
FSG - US$16.00
Gaiwan Set (Blue Calligraphy)
I often like a bit smaller gaiwan, and this one has a tall base so I can easily pick it up one-handed. All of the calligraphy is hand-painted, so there are slight variations in the script from piece to piece, which I also find appealing.

I’ll post up the prices in a day or 2!!!
